Senior Administration Officer

RACV Goldfields Resort is searching for a Senior Administration Officer who is ready for a new challenge to grow and develop within their career. 

A day in the life

Reporting directly to the Resort Manager, the Senior Administration Officer is responsible and accountable for the delivery of accounting, administrative and HR functions at the RACV property.

  • Provide advice, support, and direction to Resort Manager on financial issues to ensure the resort delivers optimum financial and operational results.
  • Provide property department managers with regular financial information to maintain financial performances in line with budgets.
  • Develop strong stakeholder relationships within the business, supporting and prioritising their needs to ensure organisational goals are met.
  • Oversee the property safety management systems, audits, and other compliance requirements. 
  • Proactively identify, report and control hazards and risks in line with RACV HSW policy and procedure and in consultation with employees.
  • Deliver information sessions and employee forums such as induction and update briefings.
  • Manage the property centralised Training Program to ensure employees complete the required learning for their role and are competent to undertake their role safely.
  • Facilitate the effective recruitment procedures, training, succession planning, appraisal, and counselling activities.
  • Recommend and implement training and development programs that support the up skilling of staff.
  • Manage any member/guest complaints resolution.
  • Oversee lease agreements, payments, and statements.

This is a permanent full-time position Monday to Friday that requires the ability to work flexible hours outside of normal business.

We’re looking for…

  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role 
  • Exposure in the hospitality or tourism industry is advantageous. 
  • Prior financial management AP and AR experience is highly regarded.
  • Experience in strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • HR and safety management knowledge and experience
  • Outstanding time management and organisational skills
  • Strong written, analytical and communication skills 
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as in team.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Able to be a leader both in own department and across property.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook), plus accounting systems (preferably SAP)
