Administration and Compliance Officer
Mermaid Beach, Gold Coast.
Full time: $75 000 to $90 000

EPEC Education is a Nationally Recognised Training Organisation (RTO), with a focus on providing quality training to the early childhood, education and care industries. Reporting to the RTO CEO, this role will be responsible for ensuring the RTO's compliance with the VET quality framework, planning and conducting internal audits, identifying areas of compliance vulnerability. The advertised position is in our Gold Coast office, at beautiful Mermaid Beach – right above Bam Bam Café and a short walk to beautiful beaches. This role is office based, Monday to Friday - 38-hour week.

About the role
This is a permanent in office, full-time position that will form an integral part of our team. It will provide Administration and Compliance support to all stakeholders including the CEO, team members, students, and business clients. The role involves collaborating with internal teams to streamline compliance processes and improve efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Finalise student enrolments and assist with validating and issuing of Statement of Attainment and Qualification Certificates.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ongoing support to learners including credit transfer and RPL applications, support with applications for extensions & deferrals, reasonable adjustments, course transfers, cancellations & withdrawals.
- Work with the team to undertake regular and consistent validation activities, including the maintenance of relevant validation documents and registers
- Conduct onboarding compliance meetings with Trainers and Assessors to familiarise them with compliance requirements and processes.
- Work with the EPEC Content Team to ensure that both internally created training materials and purchased materials comply with the tenets outlined on training.gov
- Undertake regular course reviews to ensure training is compliant and promoting student engagement and retention
- Supporting the team during yearly AVETMISS submissions – to ensure correct data entry of student information
- Support the Marketing Team to ensure that all advertising is compliant and in accordance with ASQA regulations
- Work with the Student Support Team to ensure that practical placement processes are compliant.
- Identify any potential risks in relation to compliance, and work with the EPEC team to minimise those risks -this includes the monitoring and maintenance of a compliance reporting and activity calendar
- Support the EPEC team to manage internal registers, including Quality Improvement register, Trainer and Assessor professional development register, and Industry Engagement register
- Access and distribute business-wide communications relating to compliance, quality, standards, changes and continuous improvement initiatives or opportunities.
- Collect, review, analyse and report on survey information, including but not limited to student, trainer, employee feedback and any relevant data as required by EPEC
- Manage audit preparation activities including collaborating with the EPEC Team to promote high levels of compliance

Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience working in a compliance focused RTO environment or similar industry
- Experience in using an RTO student management system
- Knowledge and understanding of the application of the Standards for RTOs 2015.
- Familiarity with compliance regulations promoted and informed by ASQA
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the use of corporate computing systems and applications in creating business documents
- Knowledge of the tenets governing digital learning, including relevant software applications.
- Strong focus on compliance while ensuring efficiencies and systems are maintained and improved.
- Strong work ethic and ability to make oneself available.

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
Previous Administration and Compliance experience within a training or RTO environment is highly desirable. This role would suit someone with a background in Administration and Compliance with proficiency in online RTO administration systems. This role may also suit someone with a strong compliance background in the early education and care sector.
