The Mater Hospital Administration team has an opportunity available for an experienced Senior Administration Officer to join their team working in Allied Health and Health and Wellness Clinic. This is a permanent, part time role (32 hours per week).
Salary range: $35.45 - $39.62 per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging.
What you'll be doing
This position is a front of house Senior Administration Officer within a Private Allied Health Clinic. Your role will involve but not limited to:
- Providing Exceptional Customer Service to patients and clients
- Booking and managing outpatient appointments in TAHDIS (Team Allied Health Data Information System)
- Register and update patient details in iPM
- Invoice/receipt patients in Totalcare and using HICAPS. (Including workcover, NDIS and DVA patients)
- Following up outstanding patient accounts
- Manage phone calls from patients and clinical staff taking a variety of enquiries
- Stock ordering in Navision and WINC
- Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality, complying with administration, and financial policy and procedures. Maintaining accurate, current and accessible files
- Continually demonstrate highly developed written communication skills including ability to draft routine correspondence on behalf of management.
- Provide administrative assistance to other senior staff and others as requested
- Exercise judgement where necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous Totalcare/billing experience (highly desirable)
- Previous experience in using HICAPS (desirable)
- Must be able to work autonomously as well a team
- High level of customer service, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, organise and prioritise work effectively within a busy, fast-paced, demanding environment
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills
- Strong computer skills including competence in Administration systems (and the ability to quickly learn new systems)
- Ability to use programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel
