About the opportunity
Blacktown City Council owns and operates a childcare business, Kids’ Early Learning, with a portfolio of 26 child care centres and over 70 family day care educators.
Kids’ Early Learning has approximately 300 full-time, part-time and casual staff and operates throughout the Blacktown local government area, serving over 1700 families and providing care and learning needs for their children.
We are seeking to fill a permanent, full-time, Senior Administrator Family Day Care position. The successful applicant will provide the administrative support to the operations of the Family Day Care (FDC) section, ensuring section meets it obligations under approved Council policies and guidelines.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Minimum Cert IV in Business Administration, Management, Customer Service or in a related field
- Demonstrated customer service experience in a high-volume/transaction business
- Strong administration and supervision skills
- Senior Administration Family Day Care
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Current class C driver's licence
- Clearance of National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Knowledge of Child Care Subsidy eligibility and requirements and early childhood education and care legislation and regulations
- Above average computer skills
- Strong familiarity with Harmony childcare management software applications.
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,342.90 per week
- 35 hour working week
