THE ROLE
Senior Advisor, North Aboriginal Partnerships and Practice, Aboriginal Self-determination and Outcomes Division contributes to the DFFH strategic directions of earlier and more connected support, and local solutions. The position aims to improve the wellbeing of Aboriginal individuals and communities through the development of engagement opportunities for social and economic participation and to create opportunities for individuals and families to build better lives and achieve their potential by participating in the community and economy.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Provide authoritative advice on policies, programs and plans to a wide range of stakeholders including Aboriginal communities, service provider organisations and other government agencies.
- Manage stakeholder and community relationships and create mutually beneficial partnerships essential for achieving the department's objectives in relation to the support of Aboriginal communities and people.
- Identify opportunities for improving service quality and evidence-based service models through effective consultation with Aboriginal communities and other key stakeholders.
