Senior Advisor Assurance supports the operations of the VBA's assurance framework across
the organisation. As a subject matter expert, the Senior Advisor Assurance assists with the
delivery of key functional requirements including assurance reviews, examining control
effectiveness and efficiency, and implementation and testing of business continuity
management activities.The role works closely with business stakeholders across the organisation to facilitate activities
that provide assurance to the VBA Commissioner, Audit and Risk Committee and Executive
Leadership Team on the effectiveness of the VBA's management assurance functions,
compliance with Standing Directions under the Financial Management Act 1994, and business
continuity management planning and preparedness.Who we are looking for? * Knowledge and understanding of risk management standards or requirements (e.g., ISO 31000, Victorian Government Risk Management Framework)
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of business continuity programs including an understanding of AS ISO 22301:2019 and supporting guidance.
- Well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise, negotiate and influence with a diverse range of stakeholders and proactively anticipate needs.
- Qualifications in management, business, economics, statistics, data, or other disciplines with a risk or assurance focus would be highly regarded.
