As Tasmania’s public production forest manager, Sustainable Timber Tasmania keeps forests healthy and thriving. We also supply high-quality timber for customers in Tasmania.
We sustainably manage around 812,000 hectares of public production forests across the state. Our core activities include forest operations, land management, road management, and working with people who have an interest in what we do.
About the role
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic communications professional to join our Communications and Engagement team.
You will drive the development and delivery of communications and engagement priorities to invite awareness, facilitate engagement and enhance advocacy for our organisation. You will develop and implement proactive communications campaigns, coordinate media and provide communications expertise across the organisation.
The preference is for this role to be located in our Hobart office, however one of our statewide locations would be considered for the right applicant.
About you
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, with a sharp eye for detail and the ability to craft compelling messages for different audiences and platforms.
- Agile and adaptable with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines successfully.
- Highly self-motivated with a proactive approach to navigating challenges, pursuing opportunities and generating new ideas.
- Strong collaborative work ethic, with a passion for building new relationships and making connections.
