Opportunity
Opportunity exists at our Boddington site within the Asset Management team. Reporting to the Manager, Asset Management Mining you will have a pivotal role in leading the AFE development and Operational Readiness for new fleets of new capital equipment.
As the AFE and Operational ReadinessSenior Advisor you will be the single point of contact for Operational Readiness responsible for both internal resources and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) resources offsite and onsite to deliver the equipment safely and efficiently onsite with all areas of asset management covered.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate and co-ordinate Operational Readiness work within Newmont global teams and OEM's
- Manage all capital equipment AFE's with the allocated amounts
- Coordinate with Mine Operations and the execution teams for the delivery of new equipment and supply chain in the disposal of the old asset
- Organise and manage the planned equipment builds onsite
- Resolve cross functional issues and priorities, including issues in plan compliance /breakdowns
- Training and competency 'gap analysis' for crew for the new equipment
The Boddington site offers a unique lifestyle, allowing you to live locally or stay in our Village based on your roster. With a continuous 8/6 and 7/7 roster, you'll have ample time to enjoy the lifestyle this role affords, just an hour away from the coast.
About You
This role will suit a self motivated and highly organised Asset Management professional with a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role working with heavy mobile capital equipment.
Other key skills we'll be seeking include
- Sound understanding of effective work management processes and systems
- Experience with managing work utilising a CMMS system
- Able to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously under pressure
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross functionally
- Experience with developing maintenance budgets
