Senior Agile Business Analyst

Our client is looking for a Senior Agile Tester to form part of multi-vendor team and work in a collaborative environment on a graph analytics project (a technology project)
Location: Perth (candidate must be Perth based or willing to relocate)
Preferred start date: ASAP
End date: 6 months from start
Working hours: 40 hrs p/w
Senior Agile Business Analyst Key Accountabilities:
The successful Respondent, a Senior Agile Business Analyst, will work closely with the development team to drive innovative solutions which will add value and help to grow the capabilities within the WA Police Force Data Science and Analytics Division. As part of the graph analytical project team, the successful respondent will get exposure to a variety of new capabilities, as well as smaller BAU initiatives. They will work with stakeholders at all levels, conducting discovery workshops, business process modelling and business needs analysis.
Key accountabilities:

• Applies agile analysis and facilitates ongoing discussion between product owner and the development team to enable consensus on epics, user story scope and acceptance criteria;
• Consults and collaborates with a variety of internal business and technical stakeholders to better understand business and functional requirements;
• Ensures business requirements are captured for new and enhanced features and facilitates discussions of the requirements through design, build, testing &
• deployment;
• Translates customer and business needs into technical language for the development team;
• Assists the Product Owner to define the business value and outcomes;
• Able to wear multiple hats within an agile team e.g. product owner, scrum master and occasionally as a tester;
• Facilitates Agile ceremonies such as inceptions, estimations, story kick offs and backlog grooming;
• Ensures development teams understand business requirements and value of each user story that is being delivered;
• Supports the development team in aligning the backlog with the project's quarterly plans.
• Is an Agile advocate and actively raises the awareness and values of delivering software using Agile methods.
• Business Process Modelling ('as is' and 'to be');
• The ability to create a strong rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels;
• Demonstrated ability to think "outside the box";
• Certification in Agile and / or Scrum processes is desirable (but not essential)

Experience and Qualifications:
The successful respondent, at this level must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and direction. Minimum experience and qualifications of a Senior Agile Business Analyst must include, but is not limited to:

• Tertiary qualification in Information/Business Systems;
• Extensive Agile/Business Analyst experience
• Experience working in large initiatives as well as BAU activities simultaneously;
• Experience leading major initiatives (within the BA space);
• Experience liaising with internal development teams and external vendors to ensure the deliverables meet requirements;
• Exposure to Agile software development projects including development of new applications;
• Experience in Product Management & Product ownership would be highly regarded
• Certification in Agile and / or Scrum processes is desirable (but not essential)
• Experience in a professional services or consulting environment would be advantageous
• More than five years relevant experience in Agile - Technology driven projects as a Senior Agile Business Analyst.

• Candidate must be a Australian Citizen.
• Candidate must be willing to get a Nv1 clearance once successful.
