How will I help?
The purpose of this role is to ensure a sound data environment to support credit risk models. This will include maintenance of modelling data both in technology-controlled data platforms and user-controlled discovery environments, supporting data processes for model development and monitoring, performing data governance of the modelling data, and engaging with the Bank's wider data community to ensure modelling data availability and quality.
Some of the key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Maintain user owned modelling data environment, which includes ongoing maintenance, change management process etc.
- Support technology owned data environments or platforms that are used by modelling teams, which includes project planning/scoping, review of functional specifications, regression testing and UAT testing.
- Maintain data processes for modelling and model monitoring.
- Maintain data governance frameworks for Credit Risk Modelling function (Risk Models team), including model monitoring.
- Design and maintain Critical Data Element identification methodology in the context of modelling and model monitoring
- Design and maintain DQ rules and Data profiling rules for critical data elements
- Design and maintain DQ dashboards
- Provide DQ summary to model annual reviews and model monitoring working groups
- Design and maintain modelling code management framework, including code change process
- Address DQ issues for modelling and model monitoring, which may include issue identification, issue impact assessment, root cause analysis, issue resolution etc.
- Support data platform transitions under the enterprise roadmap, including transition into cloud-based data and computing environment.
- Document data governance frameworks and data management processes

What do I need?
- Minimum of three years' experience within credit risk/analytical/data management environments or equivalent
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Tertiary qualifications (Quantitative/Business or other relevant degree) or equivalent business experience
- Strong knowledge of IT principles and system development lifecycle, data management
- Sound statistical knowledge (desirable)
- Advanced knowledge of data governance, including CDE, Data Management, Metadata and Data issue management.
- Detailed knowledge of banking credit risk framework
- Sound knowledge of credit risk modelling and model monitoring.
- Advanced SAS programming skills, SQL, R and Python (at least 2). Working knowledge of Excel with VBA, Word, PowerPoint, version control (e.g., Bitbucket) and visualisation tool (e.g., Tableau) would be advantageous.
