Senior Commercial Finance Analyst

• Insights & Business Performance
• Business Initiatives
• Marketing (fixed-term contract role for 12-months)
• Merchandise

In addition to BAU activities, the Senior Financial Analyst will provide insights and strategic support to the respective business unit. They will be responsible for supporting these functions by collecting data to provide commentary and analysis of budgeting and forecasting, and in providing strategic insight on their performance and in identifying key value drivers.These opportunities will suit data-obsessed and curious financial professionals, with strong analytical capability, high resilience and a strong commercial outlook, and for those who thrive working in a fast-paced environment.What does the role involve?

• Support the Commercial Finance Manager by enhancing the cyclical rhythm of monthly forecasting and annual budgets for each business unit. This will include GL analysis, reconciliations and reporting
• Analyse and assess capital expenditure for each cost centre including PIR (Post Implementation Reviews)
• Work closely with the respective business unit on business case modelling for several strategic projects
• Performance analysis regarding Sales, Margins, and Expenses in relation to Return on Investment
• Provide strategic advice to key business stakeholders through analysis and reporting insights on recommended actions

Who are we looking for?The successful candidate who'll THRIVE in the role will possess the following skills and experience:

• Experience working in a similar role, experience working in areas of Retail, Marketing or Supply Chain advantageous
• Ability to take a commercial mindset when approaching problems
• Strong Financial modelling capabilities
• High-level of interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders, with proven experience in business partnering
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders
• Detail-orientated with the ability to drive efficiencies through day-to-day transactional processes
• Ability to prioritise and meet conflicting deadlines
• Qualified or part-qualified CPA or CA
