About your new role:
Working as the Senior Analyst Programmer you’ll provide a high degree of technical and analytical assistance to system problems, where you’ll identify opportunities and deliver information technology business solutions to support the success of meeting customer requirements and achieve quality business outcomes, to agreed specifications and within agreed timeframes.
Your day will have you evaluate, design and manage system enhancements across project and platforms teams. Develop, test and deploy complex system modifications to facilitate electricity industry outcomes for EQL, including changes to Customer Information System, Meter data managers Market Gateway & Network Billing Manager.
You’ll adhere to Energy Queensland Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) service procedures to maintain the stability of platform applications and services, in both production and pre-production environments. As well as providing technical expertise to inform estimation, scope and deliverables to platforms, projects (or the customer) requirements.
You’ll also manage the communication to customers and stakeholders regarding incidents, updates, or changes. Providing technical assistance or mentoring to peers will also be a focus.
You’ll be located at Newstead and the remuneration for your new role is:
- 9-day fortnight is $140K - 161K plus 12.75% super.
- 10-day fortnight is $159K - $182K plus 12.75% super.

About you:
You’re a professional with a degree qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. Alternatively, you possess the equivalent experience and skillsets to perform the full scope of this role.
You have 5+ years demonstrated knowledge of Hansen Technologies CRM Product suite - Business Processes, Workflows, Data Flows and Data Management.
You have demonstrated knowledge and experience in relevant programming technologies including Web, Cloud, GIS and Business Application based programming, as well as database management systems, advanced SQL and SQL programming.
You’ll leverage your highly developed communication skills, including written and verbal, to a wide and diverse target audience. You’ll build working relationships and foster teamwork with multi-disciplinary internal and external resources, whilst ensuring the operational and organisation strategic initiatives are met.
You have a proven ability to conform to change processes and manage conflicting priorities through tackling legacy back-end systems when required.
Qualifications in Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified or equivalent or REST & Java messaging will be it would be highly regarded.
