About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as Senior Analyst - Supply Chain Solutions on full time basis. The successful candidate will provide support to optimize our Supply Chain by leveraging data-driven insights. This role will be at the forefront of using our data to unleash efficiencies and strategically plan for our network's future.
With a strong focus on data quality, analysis, and the pursuit of a Supply Chain digital twin, this role will also require you to be comfortable with project management processes and stakeholder engagement across Supply Chain operations, finance, property, merchandising, and our valued customers (both retail and food service).
This role is based in Macquarie Park and has a direct reporting line into the Head of Supply Chain Network & Solutions.
In this Role
- Analyze Supply Chain data and KPIs to help identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Develop actionable recommendations to enhance our Supply Chain processes and improve overall performance, particularly through;
- Optimizing inbound and outbound for both ordering and mix of freight types
- Optimizing network flows to leverage existing network and fractionalize fixed costs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize our Supply Chain network.
- Evaluate routes to market, volume flows and warehouse locations for maximum utilization of our network.
You're Likely a Match If
- 5+ years of work experience in Supply Chain analytics or consulting.
- Use of modeling and machine learning techniques (such as regression, clustering, forecasting).
- Familiarity with Supply Chain commercial levers and 3PL markets.
- FMCG or Retail Supply Chain experience is advantageous
