Senior Application Security Engineer

Job Purpose:

A brand-new role has become available for a Senior Application Security Engineer to join a fast growing and highly successful organization.

In this role you will design, develop, and manage tooling and frameworks to help define the organizations’ security uplift program. You will be working with other team members to enable easy adoption of application security best practices.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work with internal and external stakeholders
• Help define the company security roadmap
• Design, develop, and manage tooling and frameworks
• Develop and lead implementation of security best practices
• Develop and test application security focused purple team exercises
• Make design/strategy decisions for security improvements
• Identify threats and develop mitigating solutions to manage the risk
• Review application designs and implementations
• Manage ongoing application focused incident prevention strategies

Key Skills Required:

• 3+ years of experience in a similar position
• Certifications such as CASE, CASS and CLSSP
• Previous experience in application and network roles
• Understanding of services-oriented architecture
• Proficiency with Java, Python and PHP
• Experience securing infrastructure in public cloud – AWS/Azure
• Knowledge of ISO27001 and SOC2
