What you'll be doing
As the Senior Production Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for providing and overseeing the technician team in dispensing services within the Production Pharmacy. You will also support quality assurance activities within the Production Pharmacy Unit.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Pharmacy Technician Certificate IV or equivalent qualification deemed by the employer, with relevant pharmacy experience and displays competency in performing complex tasks under supervision of a Pharmacist in specialist areas of practice such as sterile production, clinical trials, etc.
- Recent hospital pharmacy experience, including aseptic and cytotoxic compounding.
- Proven ability to train, support, supervise and manage staff undertaking aseptic and cytotoxic compounding.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles, sterile product manufacturing and other Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements for preparation of sterile and cytotoxic products.
