A little bit about the role
The Senior Asset Management Officer supports Council’s strategic Asset Management practices by:
- Carrying out and coordinating engineering inspections and investigations for road infrastructure; and
- Developing, implementing and maintaining plans, procedures, policies and strategies to ensure the sustainable life cycle management of Council’s infrastructure assets.

To be successful in this role you will bring high level skills to research, investigate, analyse, report and provide solutions for a wide range of infrastructure and asset-related systems, processes and procedures. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

Qualifications and Employment Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in civil engineering or related discipline (Essential).
- Demonstrated experience in applying Asset Management principles, including the development of Asset Management plans, policies, strategies, standards and levels of service (Essential).
- Demonstrated experience in developing long term capital renewal programs in consultation with key asset stakeholders and users (Essential).
- Demonstrated experience in engineering investigations for infrastructure assets (Essential).
- Highly developed analytical and communication skills and experience writing high quality reports and documents.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities and stakeholders to deliver desired outcomes.
- Experience in the use Asset Management systems (essential).
- Experience in using Asset Management modelling tools (desirable) e.g. of Assetic, SMEC and/or Moloney.
