What are we looking for?The National Asbestos team is now seeking a passionate and experienced Lawyer to join their busy team in Sydney. Ideally you will have a current non restricted practicing certificate and have had exposure to personal injury law or have had experienced in the Asbestos Plaintiff space.
A little bit about the team and the area of law | Exposure to asbestos, a mineral commonly used in building materials up until the mid-80s, can cause a range of serious and life-threatening health issues. Over the past 35 years, Slater and Gordon Asbestos Lawyers have acted for thousands of mesothelioma sufferers and many others suffering from asbestos related lung cancer and asbestosis. We have a proud history of fighting successfully for asbestos victims, while ensuring we do everything we can to support them and their families.
This rare and exciting opportunity is now available for a proactive, passionate and results driven Lawyer. You will be working with one of our most experienced and respected practice groups nationally which will see you working collaboratively across a file load.
In addition to taking on a wide range of challenging legal matters, this role will also see you manage and strengthen new client relationships along with initiating and building new networks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Instrumental in managing an Asbestos practice
- Continually exploring new opportunities for your practice and developing new business
- Maintaining strong client relationships
- Exceptional negotiation skills and an ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems and run files expeditiously
You will be a committed and enthusiastic individual who possesses the following:
