We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate/Financial Service Senior Associate specialising in all areas of Financial Services and general commercial (5-9 years PQE) to work as part of our highly respected team. We have a strong and close relationship with our clients and provide them with practical commercial and strategic advice. This is an opportunity for someone who likes interesting and challenging work whilst working closely with our clients.
About you
We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our dynamic Sydney based team. Working across a range of Financial Services specialities from fund construction to licencing, compliance and P/E Venture Capital advice.
The successful candidate will have experience in either the Financial Services field or in adjacent corporate law. We recognise that the Financial Services field is very bespoke and we would welcome someone looking to transition to this lucrative and exciting field.
Responsibilities
- Work across a range of funds formation and transactional work, both global and domestic
- Transaction support on deals focussing on all assets sectors and structures from local startup VCs to global managers
- Provide high quality advice to a broad range of clients
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Mentoring junior lawyers in the team
- Assisting with business development and strategic development
Requirements
- 5+ years PQE - preferably with experience in investment funds
- Excellent analytical, technical and drafting skills
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work across teams
- Practice growth and teamwork mindset
