Our Perth Banking & Finance team sits within our broader Energy, Resources & Projects group which is recognised as an industry leading practice offering integrated solutions across the mining, oil and gas, power and renewables and finance sectors.
Gemey Visscher leads the highly regarded Banking & Finance practice. The team are regularly engaged to act for financiers and borrowers, both domestically and internationally. The team acts for all the major Australian banks and many foreign banks in respect of all aspects of financing including construction, acquisitions, property development and investment, corporate financing and project financing. They also act for many borrowers in various industries seeking all types of financing arrangements.
Your Role
Due to an increase in deal flow and a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for an experienced Senior Associate to join our industry leading Banking & Finance practice in Perth. You will work closely with Gemey and senior lawyers, enjoying a fascinating variety of high value project, corporate and property finance matters including secured, unsecured, syndicated, club and bilateral transactions, both cross-border and domestic.
You will be guided and empowered by Gemey and other partners in respect of your career development and enjoy a clear, structured path for career progression opportunities. We also offer learning and development programs to build your professional brand, team leadership and client skills.
More About You
We welcome applications from lawyers who have:
- Minimum 5 years' post admission experience in banking & finance gained within a reputable corporate law firm;
- Strong communication, technical drafting and problem solving skills;
- Team player attitude and ability to mentor junior team members;
- Demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and fellow advisers;
- Resilience and a commitment to provide exceptional levels of service to our local and international client base.
