AddressWe are delighted to be partnering with a reputable and well recognised Tier 1 law firm in search of a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join their Melbourne based Trademarks team. Collaborate with an esteemed and Doyle’s ranked partner on cutting-edge cases that set the standard in the industry.
The Role
As a Senior Associate, you’ll tackle diverse and intricate legal challenges, guiding leading brands through the complexities of Australian trademark law. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a prestigious clientele spanning fashion, entertainment, telecommunications, finance, and more.
- Developing strategic search and filing approaches, and crafting clearance advisories.
- Managing trademark specifications and filings across Australia, New Zealand, and international jurisdictions.
- Representing clients in trademark prosecution before IP Australia and IPONZ.
- Resolving disputes, from oppositions to non-use actions, and negotiating agreements.
- Providing crucial insights into IP aspects during due diligence processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and research skills.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in local and international trademark prosecution.
- Demonstrated passion for trademark law, ideally evidenced through LLM studies.
- Proven ability to deliver practical, cost-effective advice and manage client relationships.
- Strong team spirit and a proactive approach to business development.
