Senior Automation Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis to manage automation projects which includes PLC's, HMI's and plant level networks. You will also support and implement capital expenditure projects including those with a mechanical or bottling machinery focus.

• Taking a leading role in managing the design, development, implementation and commissioning of high-quality electrical/automation solutions to improve production efficiency
• Analyse plant processes, design, and implement improvements
• Support and coach on site Electricians when troubleshooting
• Manage and plan end of life to equipment level
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and on schedule.
• Review and prepare detailed specifications and contract documents for procurement of major electrical and controls equipment as well as construction document packages
• Actively involved and responsible for installation and commissioning of automation work packages for specific capital projects
• Prepare technical reports and client correspondences/presentations to project stakeholders
• Ensuring that safety equipment is used correctly at all times
• Taking a proactive approach to the health and safety of others.

• The successful candidate will possess minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role and /or a relevant qualification.
• Ability to communicate concerns and solutions to different stakeholders with varying degrees of business knowledge.
• Management and supervisory experience in similar roles
• Advanced ability to review and generate reports using window package
• Ability to navigate our information system and perform all functions with regards to stock movement
