The role:
We have an opportunity for a Senior Bookkeeper join us in a full-time capacity at our Sydney office. You will service a small number of prestige clients within the outsourced finance division and assist with workflow management for the wider client group, your day to day will look like:
- Obtain monthly bank statements, revenue invoices, opex invoices, capex invoices, and any other transactional documentation
- Initiate reviewed payments via internet banking platform
- Complete monthly reporting in relation to payables
- Monitor bank funding and cashflow
- Extract relevant bank transaction listings and/or update the general ledger based on bank transaction interfacing and reporting requirements
- Bank reconciliations
- Draft and post required journal entries based on information provided
- Respond to stakeholder queries surrounding the treatment of monthly transactions as required
Successful candidates will have experience in:
- Funds experience preferred
- BAS, IAS, payroll and superannuation experience
- Experience using Xero, or similar accounting systems
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Excellent time management and written skills
- Preparation of monthly reporting pack and various ad-hoc reports, analysis with commentary.
- Management of stakeholder relationships - ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Coaching and mentoring skills
- Leadership experience to support junior members of the team
