WOW Recruitment is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join an expanding construction firm in Sydney's North West.
 
You will oversee oversee financial opertations, responsible for updating the company's financial accoutns and records.

What you will be doing?

  • Ensure accuracy in financial records by checking accounting entries regularly.
  • Track invoicing and payments to maintain up-to-date accounts receivable and payable records.
  • Organize and maintain company documents systematically for easy retrieval and tax compliance.
  • Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
  • Update the general ledger with the latest financial data.
  • Prepare trial balances to verify the accuracy of financial data.
  • Maintain and file documentation required for tax compliance.
  • Monitor cash flow to ensure smooth operations and minimize cash flow gaps.
  • Produce financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, to assist senior management in decision-making.
  • Manage bank feeds and reconcile bank statements regularly.
  • Oversee payroll processes and ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable to optimize cash flow and minimise outstanding balances.
  • Assist in tax filing procedures and provide necessary financial data to external accountants.
  • Organise and prioritize accounting tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with external accountants as needed to support financial reporting and compliance.

What do you bring?

  • 3-4+ years experience in a similar finance/bookkeeping position. 
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is highly desireable.
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and data entry skills.
  • Advandced Xero & Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong level of written and verbal communication skills.
