We are excited to announce that we are currently recruiting a Senior Bookkeeper to lead our Mount Barker based Finance/Administration Team.
The new role will see you:
- Manage the bookkeeping function of the Country Blinds Group of companies.
- Payroll, bank reconciliations, end of month processes, end of year processes, accounts payable, accounts receivable, BAS, FBT and IAS.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare financial statements and reconcile accounts.
- Lead a small (but awesome) 3.5 person team in the Finance/Admin department.
- Weekly reporting to the Managing Director.
- Constant contact and collaboration with the Sales, Production, Procurement, Installation and After Sales departments.
- Exposure and input on all of the big decisions that make Country Blinds tick!
- Project work from time to time that requires out of the box thinking.
To be successful in the role you will need:
- Bookkeeping and/or Accounting qualifications.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Advanced knowledge of Bookkeeping Standards, Income Tax, GST and relevant Acts and legislation
- Able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of Xero accounting software.
- Experience with Spreadsheet Excel/Google Sheets.
- High emotional intelligence and an exuberant personality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a fantastic team.
- An aspiration to do great work independently and the ability to get the best out of your fantastic Finance/Admin team.
- Police clearance, or the ability to get one if requested.
