An exciting opportunity has become available in our Commercial Services and Property team for a Senior Building Maintenance Officer on a permanent, full-time basis.
In this role, the successful applicant will work to support the Coordinator Facilities in planned and unplanned maintenance of buildings and facilities owned and operated by the City.
This role is suited to applicants with well-developed computer software skills and a broad understanding of building requirements, including asset managers, property managers, building or quantity surveyors, or someone looking to transition begin a career in facility maintenance. Successful applicants will uphold and consistently demonstrate the City's values of Respect, Integrity, Customer Service and Team Work.
The key responsibilities of this role:
- Schedule contractors for Planned Building Maintenance
- Deploy contractors for Reactive Building Maintenance
- Liaise with multiple stakeholders
- Conduct Building Inspections
- Maintain and triage Building Maintenance Requests
- Assist with Building Access and Security
- Contractor Management
- Safety

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience and ability in the use of a range of computer software system including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Well-developed ability to use corporate computer systems.
- Highly developed and proven interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to establish, develop and maintain new systems, strategies and procedures.
- Facility maintenance experience (desirable).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Current ‘C’ class Western Australian driver’s license.
- Relevant trade certificate (desirable) or accreditation through industry- based training.
- Construction industry white card (preferred).

Salary Range: $76,130 to $82,690 p.a plus 11% employer superannuation and additional co-contribution to your superannuation.
