As we embark on our Biodiversity Offsets Scheme Digital Transformation Program, we are seeking a highly talented Senior Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in this transformative journey. 

About You 

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our digital transformation strategy and driving business success through the effective analysis of complex requirements and the delivery of innovative solutions. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments to understand business needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop actionable insights to support decision-making. 

Responsibilities 

• Work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements. 
• Conduct thorough analysis of current systems and processes and identify areas for improvement and optimisation. 
• Handle ambiguity and provide options for complex situations to ensure effective decision-making. 
• Design and document business processes, workflows, and system requirements. 
• Develop detailed business and functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. 
• Collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications. 
• Lead stakeholder workshops and meetings and facilitate discussions to gather requirements and drive alignment. 
• Provide guidance and support to project teams throughout the development lifecycle. 
• Conduct impact assessments and risk analyses to ensure successful implementation of proposed solutions. 
• Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or roadblocks. 
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation. 
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. 

Essential Requirements   

• Degree qualified in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 
• At least 5+ years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst, preferably with a focus on large-scale digital transformation initiatives. 
• Proven track record of leading successful business analysis efforts within complex organizational environments. 
• Strong understanding of digital technologies 
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills 
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. 
• Proficiency in business process modelling, requirements elicitation, and solution design methodologies. 
• Passion for driving innovation, continuous improvement, and organizational change through digital transformation.

Participation in the NSW Biodiversity Offsets Scheme (BOS) & BCT’s Private Land Conservation (PLC) Programs 

All new employees with an existing defined interest in the BOS will be required to disclose their personal (or a close family member’s) participation to ensure potential conflicts are managed appropriately. In some circumstances this may require divestment of the interest. 

The BCT also has restrictions on staff participation in its funded PLC programs. No additional funding, beyond that already agreed to by the BCT, may be sought or approved during time as a BCT employee or for a 12-month period following termination of employment.
