This Big 4 bank is working through a CPS230 program and require an additional Senior Business Analyst for support of this regulatory and compliance project.

About the role

As the Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the business for a successful transformation by conducting the process mapping, data mapping, data analysis, gathering business requirements and engaging with different stakeholders. You will be engage with an impressive range of senior stakeholders in an agile delivery environment.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the regulation/compliance space and skills around banking products, excellent core business analysis skills, a minimum of 5 years of experience in large corporate environments, and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

An emphasis on knowing CPS230 is of importance for this ideal candidate, as well as understanding Business Continuity Plans, Operational Risk, and any other experience with CPS regulation projects (CPS220, CPS234, etc.) Candidates with these skills and/or Big 4 Bank experience will be prioritised.

What you will do

- Act as the main bridge between IT and business stakeholders; collaborate with the business to evaluate business needs and create specifications for any modifications or additions to technology applications and/or business procedures
- Collaborate with team members to streamline the team's backlog by prioritising, estimating, and making informed decisions
- Perform data analysis, data mapping, and data cleansing activities to ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Develop process maps to identify gaps and areas for improvement in the lending asset migration process
- Engage with different stakeholders including different business units, IT teams, and vendors
- Read through and communicate APRA CPS230 legislation to understand the business requirements and write documentation for the business

What you will have done

- Experience in the big 4 banks is essential, with a particular focus on any regulation and compliance projects (CPS230 preferred)
- Experience across large transformations in the banking/finance space (min. 5+ years), ideally with exposure to large regulation and compliance projects.
- Strong data migration/analysis and data mapping skills around banking products
- Excellent Business Analyst skill set including requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

This role provides excellent exposure to a high-visibility delivery on a massive transformation, with a min. 12mo runway, exposure to exciting stakeholders and the flexibility to work from home and on-site (50%) when needed. There is a strict 50% in office requirement that cannot be changed or altered.
