u&u. Recruitment Partners has been engaged exclusively by an instantly recognisable market leader to recruit a Business Analyst role with a focus on D365 F&O. The company has a modern stack of Microsoft D365 technologies and invest heavily in technology as a strategic enabler. This role will be a permanent role based at their headquarters in Macquarie Park. There will be parking on-site provided for the successful candidate, or alternatively their office is walking distance from all major public transport links. The company is a true specialist in their field and have over 1,300 employees across 180 sites in Australia. The culture is focused on training and development of staff and working together to achieve shared outcomes. This is particularly the case with this role, which will work across various business streams and partner with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Furthermore, the company focus heavily on employee safety and wellness, so work from home options or flexible hours are highly supported with this role (WFH 2 days per week).

Your New Role:

Your core focus will be enhancing the D365 F&O application for the business. This will include a mix of projects (end to end delivery of new features/products) and BAU (functional support, design, configuration, testing, training, cutover and reporting). You'll understand the capability of Dynamics 365 F&O and support version upgrades, business process pain points and will work with Product Owners and Product Managers to create the pipeline of work.

Key responsibilities of your role will include:

  • Providing functional support for D365 F&O to support BAU changes and enhancements for Finance, Supply Chain, Fixed Assets, Inventory and Retail;
  • Recognising return on investment in business systems, refining business processes and developing end user acceptance;
  • Developing concepts and assisting the completion of business case justification;
  • Conducting functional business requirements gathering;
  • Developing detailed functional requirements to a standard that technical developers do not need to do more analysis;
  • Support the test team in creating the Dynamics 365 F&O components of test plan and cases;
  • Implementation of functional configuration changes for BAU Changes (i.e. new or discontinued products, pricing changes, FO user and site configuration changes etc);
  • Develop training material to support successful implementations of new F&O enhancements;
  • Support implementation / cutover of version upgrades and new modules and enhancements;
  • Conducting business system optimisation workshops;
  • Refining business processes and developing end user acceptance; and
  • Supporting the development of best practices within the Business Analyst arena to ensure efficient and effective business process improvement.

Your background and experience:

  • Strong experience in a similar Business Analyst role;
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O);
  • You will have proven experience in business process capture and documentation, along with extensive skills in gathering high quality requirements and writing functional and technical specifications;
  • Previous experience working in an agile/scrum environment;
  • Strong ability to conduct analysis and deconstruct the problem or solution, through user stories, use cases, business process models and work-flow diagrams;
  • Proven experience facilitating requirements elicitation sessions in the form of interviews, workshops, and observations;
  • You will be authentic, self-aware, emotionally mature and a team player with high energy;
  • You will have exemplary stakeholder engagement skills and will be a natural influencer and relationship builder at executive level;
  • You will be action orientated and collaborative with a strong orientation to outstanding service; and
  • Above all else, you will have a friendly, positive attitude with strong presentation and facilitation skills.
