This is a unique opportunity to work on one of the largest transformation programs Suncorp has ever undertaken in the digital space. The program will change the way we do business, and you could be part of it.
To succeed in this role, you will have strong BA skills (minimum 4 years'), a background in the insurance industry and first-class communication skills. You will work with the end to end design team, specifically on the Blue Sky ideation component of the requirements gathering.
You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 200 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing. You will support projects being delivered in a continuous delivery model (Agile) as well as initiatives using traditional project delivery models.

What you'll do:
- Build strong relationships through engagement with customers, colleagues, and other key stakeholders
- Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesise information accurately, completely, and coherently.
- Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.
- Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
- Create detailed user stories to support delivery.
- Work close with squad / project members, including but not limited to Delivery lead, Scrum Master, Developers, Tech Leads, and Business stakeholders to identify, capture, plan and deliver the scope of work.
- Mentor/train team members; participate and contribute to Business Analysis Chapter and/or forums providing insights and thought leadership.
- Suncorp offers a hybrid way of working where you will be expected to be in the office approx. 2 days per week.
- ESSENTIAL: Minimum 4 years' business analysis experience in a project/delivery orientated role; from a large organisation
- ESSENTIAL: Experience working in the Insurance space and on a large transformation project
- Minimum 3 years' Agile, Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation
- Previous experience with DuckCreek would be advantageous as is previous Protect user experience
- Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various levels of stakeholders internally and externally.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference
- Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines, while also working autonomously.
