Artega is a joint venture between Challenger Limited and SimCorp to provide investment administration services to the market.
Artega is a technology led investment administration business offering front, middle and back-office services to investment managers and asset owners in Australia and Asia. The business currently supports over $100Bn for its clients and has 140 staff located in Sydney and London. The business utilises the SimCorp Dimension software as its core technology platform.
Job Responsibilities
- Work as part of a project team to deliver a large uplift program to automate processes and manage operational risk
- Ability to be project lead for some of the sub-streams of the program.
- The ability to clearly define the requirements & outcomes of a project and manage these through the various phases of a project
- Ability to build, test & implement solutions that meet the desired scope & outcomes.
- Work to meet deadlines, manage issues & risk and use escalation when needed
- The ability to engage project sponsors, steering committees, influence, and guide stakeholder decisions and can interact with all stakeholders in a professional manner.

- Front to back understanding of all buy-side processes within investment management including trading, portfolio management, settlements, corporate actions, investment performance, risk, valuation & unit pricing and accounting
- Understanding of industry regulatory requirements
- 10+ years of working within investment management either with an asset manager, asset owner, vendor
- Evidence of Participating in change management of systems and/or processes that centre around the SimCorp Dimension platform

- The Uplift team is responsible for modernising and automating all the processes and systems within the various investment operations functions.
Artega:
- Artega is responsible for the administration and servicing of the funds and portfolios of assets for the Challenger Life and Funds Management businesses, and additional asset managers external to Challenger in the Asia Pacific region.
- Investment administration processes include receiving trade instructions, matching with the counterparties, managing the settlement process with the custodian or bank, processing all relevant static data, securities pricing and corporate event information, reconciliations to banks and custodians, setting up and monitoring compliance rules, valuing the assets, striking unit prices, generating performance and attribution reporting and client reporting.
