We are currently assisting our client in their search for a Senior Business Development Executive / Estimator.
The company we are recruiting for is a structural steel & aluminum fabricator and installer, to the construction industry. They are a well-established and growing busi9ness who are committed to high standards and quality construction.
The role
This is a pivotal and strategic role with the business. As the Senior Business Development person you will oversee the Junior, whilst strategically growing the business through your proactive search for new new business opportunities. Your focus will be New South Wales and Queensland.
Duties include:
- Developing & implementing strategic plan’s to develop and grow the business
- Secure new business opportunities in NSW & QLD
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients
- Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered in line with customer requirements
- Quote and estimate projects, preparing detailed costs to include material quantities, labour hours, and subcontractor costs.
- Lead and mentor the junior sales person and potential growth
- Ensure KPI’s are met
We are looking for someone with a track record in a similar industry, ideally with an existing customer base of architects, engineers and the like. A solid understanding of structural fabrication & installation.
- A proven track record in your ability to implement effective sales strategies and expand the company’s presence, winning new business opportunities.
- An effective communicator, able to build and maintain relationship, internal and external.
- Experience estimating and quoting within the construction industry.
- Project management understanding, to ensure projects, delivered by the project management team, are on time and in line with your customers’ expectations.
- Strong relationshi0p manager to ensure repeat business.
- Previous experience working in a similar industry will be highly regarded.
- Good leadership skills.
- Excellent Analytical and strategic thinking skills.
