HarperCollins Publishers has an exciting opportunity for a marketing or publicity professional to join the HQ Books division in the role of Senior Campaign Manager. This is a full-time position, based at our head office in Sydney's CBD.
The purpose of the role is to work with the Head of Marketing & Communications to develop, create, and implement integrated marketing and publicity campaigns across the HQ Books local and international lists and to provide general support to the Head of Marketing and Communications .This may include, but is not limited to, administrative assistance, sharing major project work, and representing the department or business when required.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Working within established budgets, the Senior Campaign Manager will research, develop and execute vibrant national campaigns for local and international titles and authors
Develop media contacts, write press releases, generate e-alerts and develop interview schedules and campaign reports for allocated titles
Manage author tours and publicity for allocated titles and authors
Work with the sales team to develop excellent customer sell-in strategies for key titles
Look for creative ways to drive campaigns (and/or backlist titles) beyond the publication period through publicity, advertising, brand partnerships, POS, digital and social marketing opportunities
Develop and nurture positive author and agent relationships
The successful candidate will possess:
  • Significant book industry experience, or significant experience in another relevant field
Marketing, communications or public relations degree
Competitive, creative and innovative
Desire to be an innovative marketer and high achieving publicist
Excellent literacy skills
Excellent publicity contacts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong copywriting skills
