As the Senior Caseworker, you will provide supervision and guidance to caseworkers in the Foster Care program through a collaborative partnership with your Team Leader.
This role will involve;
- Provide support to practitioners in managing complex cases, offering assistance during visits, meetings, and challenging situations.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments with clients to develop, implement, monitor, and review care plans and outcomes, actively engaging children and carers in the process.
- Manage a small caseload, varying in number based on the level of complexity.
- Ensure transparent sharing of case and plans with clients and relevant agencies, fostering collaboration and informed decision-making.
- Liaise with various service providers, including government departments, schools, health services, and allied health providers, to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
- Coach and provide on-the-job support to practitioners and, emphasizing strengths-based frameworks to enhance client outcomes.
- Collaborate with management to evaluate learning needs, develop solutions for capability building, and support program development and review.
The requirements for this role include;
- Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or a related field
- Experience in Casework; Domestic Violence, Child Protection, Early Intervention and/or OOHC
- Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and support to caseworkers managing complex Out of Home Care matters
- Current driver’s license and WWCC
