We are thrilled to be opening The Orchard in Dubbo - a state-of-the-art emergency accommodation centre for women and their children escaping domestic violence.
We are now looking for a Child and Family Case Worker to provide best practice support services to women and children residing at the Orchard.
The Orchard Child and Family Case Worker will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, client centred, trauma informed case management for women and children who have experienced domestic violence. They will also establish and maintain collaborative partnerships and networks with key stakeholders to ensure effective service referral pathways.
To be successful, you will need:
- Extensive experience in the domestic violence, homelessness or other related sector
- Extensive case management experience with at risk cohorts with a trauma background
- Experience in working with clients from highly diverse backgrounds, particularly Aboriginal clients
- Ability to flexibly respond to the needs of women and children staying at the Orchard while supporting them to achieve their goals and transition safely back in to the community
- Ability to work with clients in a capacity building approach so clients build the skills to better respond to escalating situations
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with other service providers and use those relationships to better serve clients and improve outcomes
- Qualifications in social work, social welfare, community services or similar
You will also need a current Driver’s Licence and ability to obtain a Police Check and Working with Children Check.

This is a full time (38 hours/week) contract to 30 June 2027.
The Case Worker is classified as a Level 4.1 under the SCHADS Award, which equates to $82,264 gross per annum. This will increase on an annual basis in line with the pay points in the Award.
