About the roleAn opportunity as Senior Category Marketing Manager has arisen within our Dairy, Freezer & Convenience business unit. This is a 12-month fixed-term full-time maternity leave contract, and we are open to applicants seeking part-time (4 days).

As the voice of the customer, this role is a key interface with the Category team and the Central Marketing team; ensuring that together we bring incredible customer moments to life that build trust and drive trade.
What you'll be doingReporting to the GM - Dairy Freezer & Convenience - you will work cross-functionally with Merchandise, Supply Chain, Suppliers, Operations, and Marketing teams to develop and deliver customer centric trade plans, marketing campaigns and strategic initiatives. This exciting opportunity will sit within the biggest BU with a really connected leadership team and a lot of momentum.
You'll also• Lead the Business Unit Customer Calendar, and develop the Packaged Grocery calendar in collaboration with the Head of Marketing.
• Lead the development and implementation of strategic projects, trade plans, marketing initiatives and campaigns
• Identify opportunities, develop solutions, and improve customer experience across the Business Unit customer omnichannel experience
• Partner with the Coles 360 team to deliver compelling customer moments for supplier investment
• Lead the development and implementation of a BU facing customer insights framework in partnership with the Coles Synergy and Insights teams.
You're an experienced customer centric Marketer / Trade Planning Marketer who can lead/is confident to step into leading a small team to bring things to life in an impactful way.
Coming from a Retail or FMCG background, you are insight-driven and able to craft and communicate a clear plan. You collaborate and influence with ease and can demonstrate driving successful initiatives across an organisation, at pace.
You'll also need• Proven experience developing and implementing marketing strategy and campaign management with a strong planning focus and attention to detail
• Strong stakeholder management skills - you will win support and work day to day with Grocery SLT, as well as collaborate with the Central marketing team and other cross-functional teams
• Excellent project management and process management skills
• E-Comm / Digital knowledge preferred but not essential
• Passion, resilience, and the ability to roll up sleeve when necessary and deal with ambiguity and calm under pressure.
