The Senior Category Planning Manager will be the primary contact for sales and category marketing and is responsible for the buildup, delivery & course correction of the annual category, commercial plan by channel; maximizing category objectivity & joint value creation for Asahi /Retailers
You will own the cross-functional alignment and execution of category plans, delivering against the budgets & resources to achieve the sales plan, in conjunction with the Sales and Category Marketing team, Finance, Demand planning & CS&L.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Activation Plans & co-ordinate Commercial Calendar by category
- Coordinate Financial build across IBP horizons by category
- Lead the adjustment of plans as needed to hit overall objectives
- Support in year pricing and promotional plans across Commercial & RM teams
- Accountable for voice of Category & Customer into Stage & Gate Process
- Deliver a point of purchase program that unlocks category growth drivers and leverages channel-based shopper opportunities.
- Input into the development and alignment of best in class activation plans for NPD and Big Bets with sales and category marketing.
- Track NPD and Big Bet performance and recommend response strategies to leverage success or minimize impact.
- Drive distribution and visibility in store via perfect store initiatives
- Lead one direct report
About you:
- Tertiary qualification – Commerce or Marketing preferred
- Minimum 5+ years FMCG experience in Sales/Marketing (Commercial Function)
- Category Development experience desirable
- Demonstrated Commercial Planning (NPD, Events, Activations)
- Experienced in commercial activity planning & tracking
