Job Description
We're looking for a Senior CGI Artist for a 12 month parental leave contract. This person will collaborate with our talented artists and be an integral part of our post-production team. You will be working across all media for some of Australia and South East Asia's most successful brands and advertising agencies.
We are looking for a person who has a creative mind with a technical brain. You will need to be able to critically evaluate CGI/animation briefs and determine how best to approach them with the internal team that is available. Ideally, you will have a high level understanding of Photoshop and Houdini or Maya with additional knowledge of Redshift/Modo/Other CGI platforms being highly regarded.
The CGI/Retouching team is the tip of the spear in terms of quality and delivery timelines and you will be coordinating with our agencies partners to ensure work never slips through the cracks. You're an organised person by nature and have a calm approach that delivers projects on time, on budget and in line with client expectations. You will also have a keen eye for new opportunities and be actively marketing our team to help grow the business.
We're a full service production company that can take a brief from creative to dispatch and we are looking for the right person to help organize and execute our CGI projects to completion. You will work closely with Senior CGI/Retouching Artists, Head of Production and Managing Director to make sure we're all paddling in the same direction.
Key Responsibilities

• Deliver CGI creative briefs from agency and client partners to ensure they receive prompt and detailed service.
• Liaise with clients for creative briefings, advise on timelines and communicate additional information required.
• Work on the tools to deliver static and animated content both in CGI.
• Monitor the quality control of the work being outputted by other artists.
• Source freelance resources when required
• Communicate updates to the Head of Production.

About you!

• Highly organised and able to remain calm under sometimes trying situations
• Knowledge of post-production workflows, budgeting and terminology
• Highly skilled in Photoshop and Houdini or Maya
• Additional CGI skills (Redshift, Substance, Modo, Unreal Engine, HDR Light Studio). This is not critical but will be looked upon very favourably.
• Excellent communicator that's able to negotiate with clients, contractors and artists
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive
• Excellent team player and collaborator
• Ideally Sydney based, but we are also open to remote candidates
