This will be the experience of a lifetime… Senior Child Protection Workers and Senior Field Workers work with children, young people and families who are vulnerable or in crisis to ensure children are safe and protected from harm. They: Undertake case work activities of a complex nature. Make recommendations on the care and management of children.

Develop a high level of knowledge and skills in providing services and support to families and communities. Provide expert advice to District staff members on child safety and protection issues. Senior Field Worker positions are modified Senior Child Protection Worker positions that are ONLY available in Regional WA locations.

We have opportunities available across the state.  If you are found suitable for the role, you'll be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for vacancies that arise across the state in the next 12 months. Some of these benefits may include: An attractive and competitive salary plus, 11% superannuation, full employer contribution, which will increase to 12% by 1 July 2025 4 weeks annual leave, 3 days additional public sector holidays, 15 days personal leave per annum 14 weeks paid parental leave 3 months long service leave for every seven years consecutive service 42/52 salary arrangement enables eligible employees to purchase up to ten additional weeks of leave per year by receiving a reduced salary rate over 52 weeks of the year. Deferred salary arrangement allows employees to reduce their salary by 20% over four years and take paid leave in the fifth year at 80% of their salary Regional benefits If you are working in a regional area, you may be eligible for a range of other benefits depending on your circumstances and district or geographical location.

Qualification Requirements You must have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or relevant human services area to be eligible for this position.
