As a Senior Civil Engineerwithin our Integrated Energy Team, you'll be at the forefront of this renewable energy revolution and be responsible for working with Civil Engineers and external Consultants to assist with updating and augmenting asset management plans and ensuring business unit risks are identified and managed with regard to safety compliance.
This role will focus on Hydro Dams, Tunnels and Civil Infrastructure with additional influence/assistance on civil assets across the renewable's portfolio. What you'll be doing:
- Developing and maintaining Renewables Asset Management Plans aligned with Asset Management Strategies and the requirements of the business procedures and ISO 55000.
- Reviewing asset risk and implementing effective risk management plans with control measures to mitigate risks, and act as a point of reference and the technical approving authority for asset changes and augmentations.
- Maintaining effective working relationships with Regulatory Agencies via timely response and championing change initiatives that deliver sustainable business improvements and value without compromising safety and asset performance.
- Supporting new project development within operations and maintenance including whole of life costing for new projects.
- Managing nominated capital expenditure projects including liaison with contractors, negotiations, project coordination and project reporting.
- Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environment Systems and goals are communicated and adhered to while meeting AGL's policies and standards for HSE management.
What you'll bring:
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and demonstrated experience in hydro power or water authorities coupled with technical experience in reliability and improvements in dams, tunnels, pipelines and other civil infrastructure as well as with working toward obtaining qualification or a chartered professional engineer.
- Experience in compliance and/or asset management principles and dam safety management is highly desirable as well as technical experience in development and delivery of asset management life cycles.
- Strong technical leadership, including leading technical review and investigations for plant related issues, and strong risk and evaluation management skills.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, including problem solving and proven reliability methods, and comfort in managing multiple concurrent tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Proven interpersonal skills with high quality written and verbal communication skills that can be utilised across all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
