Our teams provide services in planning, design, construction management and maintenance of all elements of the road corridor including highways, complex interchanges, toll roads, bridges, and tunnels.
Our Transport team in Maroochydore is going from strength to strength and, as such, are seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Engineer with experience in the Roads & Highways sector, to enhance delivery, mentor our energetic junior engineers and support the growth of our presence in the Sunshine Coast Region.
Based on the Sunshine Coast and working from our fantastic new office in the heart of the new Maroochydore CBD, the core focus of this role will be to provide design, documentation and construction contract management of project within the Transport sector.
Working with the Manager Roads & Transport this position offers variety of work and projects that will see you:
- Provide technical expertise to clients and support projects through other offices as required
- Prepare design sketches and details for drafting by technical staff and oversee the preparation of design and documentation
- Prepare technical reports and specifications
- Undertake computer analysis of engineering systems
- Manage projects including scheduling and the preparation of project budgets
- Contribute to the development of GHD's knowledge and skills in civil engineering including planning, design and construction and
- Assist in the securing and delivery of projects by way of business development and client relationship management.
- Degree in Engineering (Civil)
- Registered Professional Engineer (RPEQ)
- Passion for design documentation, assessment and analysis of technical data and imparting knowledge, skills and experience through the provision of professional development in others
- Excellent project management skills and ability to mentor junior Engineers
- Mature and well-developed communication skills both oral and written (including report writing)
- A strong background in building, nurturing and maintaining ongoing client relationships
- Experience working with and a comprehensive knowledge of Department of Transport and Main Roads, Austroads and Local Government Authority Standards and
- Past proven experience in a consulting environment securing new work utilising a broad range of skills and experience across various disciplines.
