Great opportunity for Senior Civil Site Engineers to join a progressive Project Delivery Company & help us deliver Road Projects
We are currently tendering for works in the Brisbane to Gold Coast Region and are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Senior Civil Site EngineersDTMR Level SEC02 (The old B02 classification) interested in joining us and capable of committing to the following assignments for a period of 1 to 2 years for Natural Disaster Program works with the possibility of ongoing extensions and/or other projects.The Civil Site Engineer role will be responsible for Project management and damage assessment of damage sustained from Disaster Relief Funding Arrangement (DRFA) Events and the works required to reconstruct TMR assets.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the effective management of infrastructure projects in accordance with designated time, cost and quality objectives;
• Monitor and report on progress, foreseeing problems and implementing corrective action to maintain objectives;
• Maintain project quality standards in consultation with clients, and monitor the quality of project inputs;
• Assist with project budgets, cash flows and funding arrangements;
• Assist with project and resource scheduling;
• Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment, free from discrimination and harassment by working in accordance with legislative requirements, the Code of Conduct and departmental human resource policies, including the Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
Mandatory Experience
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Road and transport infrastructure construction directly or indirectly on TMR Projects in Queensland.
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of TMR specifications, technical standards, policies and processes pertaining to infrastructure delivery.
• Knowledge of AS2124 General Conditions of Contract and Transport and Main Roads' policies, standards, and specifications;
• Experience in the delivery of civil engineering projects, desirably including road and bridges;
• Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of road, bridge design, construction, maintenance and materials;
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, including the ability to establish good working relationships with customers and stakeholders at all levels, and deal with situations requiring consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution;
• Proven commitment to the principles and practice of:
o Ethical conduct, Equity and Diversity, and Workplace Health and Safety;
o Customer Service;
o Quality management and client oriented service; and
o Risk management.
The Projects are generally in the Logan to NSW Border region & west to Cunningham's Gap & Peak Crossing region.
It is envisaged that the hours will be nominally 40 - 45 hrs p/week (5-day week, approximately 8 - 9 hrs p/day, however this could vary sometimes pending project requirements.
Mandatory Criteria
• Possession of a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification, which is accepted by the Institution of Engineers Australia as a full Member (MIEAust).
• Current Drivers Licence
• Construction Industry White Card
• Due to the mandatory prior work experience requirements, you must already be living in Australia & eligible to work here, so unfortunately we are unable to consider international candidates.
