About You
We are seeking an effective and enthusiastic Senior Claims Consultant, with significant experience managing workers compensation claims. You will manage all aspects of high-risk claims including negotiating lump sum payments (PIA and redemptions) and representing regional LHNs at the SA Employment Tribunal. You will experience professional growth within a supportive and inclusive culture.
You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships. An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrate resilience with a high workload and within a complex environment is essential to this role.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Rural Support Service as a Senior Claims Consultant, partnering with the six regional local health networks (LHNs).
The Senior Claims Consultant is accountable to the Director - Workforce, Safety & Culture through the Manager, Work Health & Safety and Injury Management. The Senior Claims Consultant co-ordinates and is accountable for, in consultation with the relevant Senior Return to Work Consultant, regional LHN injury management programs. The Senior Claims Consultant provides strategy and consultancy that assists the LHNs to apply a positive, best practice culture for the management of work-related injury that complies with legislation and performance standards.

SA Health services are required to implement Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy.
