HIA Insurance Services (HIAIS) is a specialist insurance broker, providing insurance products and risk advice to the residential building industry. Formed in 1984, HIAIS is as a joint venture between two leaders in their respective industries, Aon and the Housing Industry Association (HIA).

The Opportunity

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Insurance professional to join our HIA Insurance Services team in North Ryde, Sydney, as a Senior Client Executive.

You will be responsible for the servicing and retention of a high profile portfolio consisting of clients in the building and construction sector, including General Insurance and Home Warranty Insurance Eligibility.

You will also be responsible for securing new business and maximising cross sell opportunities through exceptional client service.

What The Day Will Look Like

  • Day to day management of client insurance policy renewals, new business, home warranty insurance and endorsements
  • Manage a sales pipeline
  • Upsell and cross sell of relevant insurance products
  • Provide a high level of client service to enable effective client relationship management
  • Liaise with clients via phone and face to face meetings
  • Negotiate with insurers and clients on risks outside of Underwriting guidelines
  • Achieving budgeted revenue for retention, and growth on existing and new business
  • Mentoring, training and leading team members
  • Stakeholder management of both industry contacts and internal colleagues

About You

You will be confident in servicing clients over the phone and by email and will be efficient and calm under pressure.

  • You are highly motivated and take a proactive approach to your work and portfolio
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and/or mentoring, training and leading team members in a fast paced environment
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Tier 1 (Insurance Broking)
