Due to continued organisational growth, Doherty Clinical Trials has a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Research Nurse to join the Nursing team.
The Senior Clinical Research Nurse is responsible for supporting the provision of safe, robust, and compliant practices throughout all clinical trials to ensure the production of high-quality research and results while prioritising participant safety.
The RoleThe Senior Clinical Research Nurse will provide nursing expertise and support the set-up, operational conduct and finalization of Clinical Research trials, compliant with ICH GCP and ensures that participant safety is paramount throughout the process.
In addition, the Senior Clinical Research Nurse will also be responsible for leadership of nursing staff, including casual bank and agency staff, the provision of participant care and clinical and regulatory compliance throughout the clinical trial process.
About YouTo be successful in this position you will have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience clinical trial nursing will be highly regarded. In addition, you will have well developed judgement and decision-making skills to prioritise conflicting demands and meet deadlines. You will also be a team player with the ability to support others in the team as needed.
You will possess:- Detailed understanding of GCP and experience in early phase clinical trials (experience in early phase / phase 1 clinical trial unit is highly desirable).
- Demonstrated leadership experience in overseeing clinical teams within an independent community-based healthcare or research institution.
- Proven track record of assuming leadership responsibilities within a nursing capacity, showcasing your ability to take charge and drive nursing functions forward. Able to balance multiple clinical trial projects and timelines to ensure delivery.
- Understanding of quality and compliance and the importance of research outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with key stakeholders within a clinical trial.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work as a team player and support others within the Doherty Clinical Trials as needed.
- Bachelor of Nursing (additional degrees / qualifications highly desirable)
- Demonstrated experience as a Research Nurse in a clinical trial setting. (Highly desirable)
- Detailed understanding of clinical trial activities and requirements (highly desirable).
To protect the health and safety of participants, staff and other healthcare workers, vaccination for certain diseases is highly recommended for staff.
This role will also require completion of a National Police Check.
