- Demonstrated high level skills and experience in providing therapeutic responses to victims of sexual assault and physical abuse and neglect of children.
- Demonstrated capacity to understand and canvass the needs of the community and to develop community driven approaches that will enhance positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Understanding of the legislation, government policies, including NSW Health policies and legal issues surrounding sexual assault and the physical abuse and neglect of children.
- Demostrated high level interpersonal, communication verbal and written, consultation and negotiations skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and refine strategic relationships both within and external to the organisation.
- Demonstrated project management experience and the capacity to lead the development of therapeutic responses to meet demand and client needs.
- Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal communities and/or understanding of issues surrounding child sexual assault, physical abuse and neglect of children and family violence in Aboriginal communities.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
