• Part Time Position (0.8) Maternity Leave Back fill (12 months) with ongoing permanent position in the MHWP at end of the 12 months
• Work with a supportive and dynamic team of allied health mental health educators

About the role
This exciting role will work under the guidance of the Allied Health Mental Health Associate Director, Learning and Teaching, and the OT and Social Work Clinical Educators. Its primary focus is development and implementation of learner programs for early career Occupational Therapists and social workers, and other allied health professionals working in the mental health and wellbeing program. The mental health and wellbeing program at Eastern Health and the learning and teaching directorate work in partnership to deliver an extensive range of highly regarded transition to practice programs. Eastern Health was the organization selected by the Department of Health to develop the state-wide model and implementation resources for allied health mental health transition and graduate programs.

• Experience working in range of mental health settings
• Demonstrated ability to support novice learners
• Strong commitment to recovery focused practice
• Commitment to supervision and reflective practice, lifelong learning and further development.
• Computer literacy and embracing of health technologies and informatics.
• High level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
• Demonstrated high level inter personal skills with consumers, their families and all health care professionals including effective conflict resolution and negotiation.
