The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing our cloud infrastructure, supporting our eCommerce websites, B2B services, and API services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring our platform operates at the highest level of reliability and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, monitor, and support all aspects of our cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Design resilient and high-availability cloud services to support our growing platform.
- Provision services and resources for developers across multiple environments.
- Support developers in troubleshooting and enhancing their productivity on the platform.
- Assist in migrating and modernizing existing applications to our standard platform.
- Design and maintain disaster recovery processes.
- Review and improve network security measures, including WAF log analysis and rules.
- Manage and configure open-source software such as NGINX and MariaDB.
- Develop and maintain highly reliable CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions.
- Handle incident response and resolution of infrastructure issues and outages.
- Regularly review cloud infrastructure costs and optimize spend where possible.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, preferably in a high-traffic eCommerce or SaaS environment.
- Proficiency in AWS and Google Cloud Platform services, including EC2, RDS, IAM, and VPC networking.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Familiarity with monitoring and instrumentation platforms like DataDog or CloudWatch.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
