Role Overview:As a
Senior Cloud Engineer specializing in AWS, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, designing, and implementing fully public cloud environments. You will be responsible for leveraging your deep understanding of AWS services, particularly within a public cloud context, to drive successful migrations, optimize infrastructure, and ensure seamless operations. Your expertise in AWS services, cloud migrations, AWS landing zone management, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) will be crucial in delivering high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:AWS Environment Architecture: Design and architect fully public cloud environments on AWS, utilizing a wide range of AWS services to meet specific client requirements.Cloud Migration Expertise: Lead and support cloud migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions from on-premises or other cloud environments to AWS.AWS Landing Zone Management: Manage AWS landing zones, implementing best practices for security, compliance, and governance while optimizing performance and cost-efficiency.Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop, maintain, and enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment of AWS resources.Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, sharing best practices, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize AWS environments for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, implementing solutions to maximize efficiency.Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, DevOps engineers, and project managers to ensure alignment of cloud solutions with business objectives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, gather requirements, and address concerns.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of X years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS services in a fully public cloud environment.
- Expertise in utilizing a broad range of AWS services, with a deep understanding of their capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
- Proven experience in leading and executing cloud migration projects, including assessment, planning, execution, and post-migration optimization.
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar.
- Experience with managing AWS landing zones, implementing security controls, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar, preferred but not required.
