With an existing diverse COMMERCIAL LAW practice (comprising commercial/business law, commercial & construction litigation, property/conveyancing and succession law), it’s now time to onboard a practice leader to take full ownership & drive further growth of this practice managing a team of lawyers/paralegals.
YOUR NEW ROLE
Reporting to the Managing Partner and GM, you will love the variety+challenge+ satisfaction running your own ‘show’, leading a winning team and engaging in business development to further grow the commercial law practice across multiple areas:
- Commercial transactions -eg buying/selling businesses, business structures, advising on directors/shareholders issues, corporate restructures, joint ventures, licensing/distribution, intellectual property,franchising, employment law, consumer/trade practices law and trusts;
property law- conveyancing and leases; - commercial litigation- eg debt recovery, insolvency/bankruptcy, general commercial contractual disputes & construction disputes.

WHO YOU ARE
We are interested in hearing from you if you:
- are a seasoned Partner/ Principal who is wanting to make a change, a sole practitioner who is looking to transition back to a larger team OR an ambitious entrepreneurial Senior Associate/ Special Counsel who is looking to step up;
- have proven experience in commercial law transactions (essential) plus preferably any 1 or more of: 1) commercial litigation; 2) construction law; 3) property law; 4) succession law;
- have a transferrable client base (preferable) or if none, a proven track record in business development/marketing and willing/able to engage in such to grow the practice;
- have strong technical legal drafting & negotiationskills+ a strong commercial acumen+ ability to provide practical relevant advice;
- proven ability to lead (essential) and effectively manage client relationships;
- are entrepreneurial+ambitious+ self-driven+ desire to be a KEY PERSON of a reputable fast-growing firm and share in the rewards.
