- Review tender documentation and contracts for all new contracts and or major renewal contracts
- Prepare Commercial Tender Strategy in accordance with work winning procedures
- Prepare commercial assessments of opportunities against business-critical risks and commercial limits
- Facilitate commercial workshops with each line of business to identify operational and commercial risks against opportunities
- In conjunction with the business and bid team develop practical mitigations of each risk in accordance with company risk management protocols and businesses
- Review tender pricing with estimators and bid team
- Review & prepare any NDA's including internal approval requirements
- Manage and provide support to tender procurement activities for new opportunities
- Ensure adherence to Work Winning Procedures
- Contribute to any process improvement and/or project initiatives across the division
- Bid response generation and coordination as may be directed by GM Precontracts and Commercial, Commercial Director and/or Bid Manager
- Actively support the business in developing win strategies for new opportunities
- Manage new or material contract negotiations with clients and or subcontractor/s
- Provide expert commercial advice and support to lines of business through the precontracts phase
- Prepare Project / Contract Handover documentation is completed and delivered to the Divisional Commercial Teams to their satisfaction
You will have a Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Construction Management or equivalent accompanied by a strong and demonstrated track record and experience working within the Telecommunications industry.You will also possess:
- Proven track record in successfully leading the commercial aspects of multi-million dollar opportunities from bid phase to negotiation close
- Proven track record in successfully delivering commercial outcomes in a large organisation and with complex clients
- Understanding of construction principals and legal arguments
- Ability to collaboratively and constructively resolve contractual and commercial disputes
- Experience of risk management
- Proven ability to multi-task on multiple simultaneous projects of varying degrees of complexity
- Strong experience in risk identification and management and application to deal making
- A can-do attitude and demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
